This week's Friday feature comes from Casey Cavanaugh, who attended the SoccerPlus Goalkeeper School in Northfield, MA. Read her story and let us know if you'd like to be featured in the future!

"I was the backup keeper on my high school team for two years, and knowing that the starting goalie would be graduating following two consecutive State Championships, I was going to have some really big shoes to fill. I attended a SoccerPlus Camp for the first time this past summer and during that week, I worked harder than I ever had in my life. All of my coaches at camp were so supportive, and pushed me mentally and physically to help me reach my full potential. They taught me so much about being a goalkeeper, on and off the field, and helped increase my confidence in my own abilities. Even when camp was over, I kept working my hardest every day as I wanted to continue to get better. It was great to have all of my hard work pay off when our team went undefeated this season and came away with our third consecutive State Championship! On top of that, we were recently recognized for being ranked sixth in the nation for high school girls’ soccer. It was such an unbelievable feeling, and it made me so happy that I contributed so much to us getting there. Erica, my camp coach, was one of the first people I texted when we won it all, and she was so proud. It was so nice to share my accomplishment with my camp coaches, and I can’t thank them enough for helping me get there!"
